I think Google did that is a good thing because it help student read book online. For some reason that they can not go to the library they can still read book that they wanted. But if every book published was for free on the web, no one would buy any books any more.If Google want to copy the books to put it online they should have the author’s permission first, then post it and we would have to pay to be able to read the books online.

I have to disagree. I think its a bad idea because like you said no one would buy the actual books anymore. I agree with what you are saying about the authors. Google should deffinatly have permission first.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Christina, about having permission from the authors before publishing books online, but also to benefit them by purchase the book online for them to be able to make a profit.
ReplyDeletePoor authors! If Google keeps this up then the term "authors" would most likely be extinct! Since the copyrights law cannot be put into use, no one would have the will to create anything and therefore the degradation of literature might possibly be around the corner. =(
ReplyDeleteYou know, you're absolutely right. I think that google should ask for the author's permission first? Make a deal with so profit can be evenly split. Afterall, it's helping the author be more renown and it's easier than going to the book store. But yeah books should not be free online, because then the library and bookstores would service no purpose.
